Team Dashboards: Executive Insights

The Team Dashboard is an enterprise-grade aggregation tool that breaks down project silos. It allows Tech Leads and Executives to group multiple repositories into a single "Command Center" to track cross-functional quality trends and technical debt at scale.

Why Use Team Dashboards?

  • Unified Visibility: Monitor the health of an entire department or product suite on one screen.
  • Executive Reporting: View high-level metrics like Total Lines of Code, Average Rating, and Critical Hotspots across all selected repos.
  • Resource Allocation: Instantly identify which teams or services require immediate attention due to quality drops.

1. Creating a Dashboard

Build your custom view in seconds by selecting the repositories that matter most.

  1. Navigate to the Dashboards section on the left-hand sidebar.
  2. Click the Create Dashboard button (or the + icon).
  3. Identify: Provide a Name (e.g., Core Services Q1) and an optional description.
  4. Aggregate: Browse and select the repositories you wish to group together.
  5. Finalize: Click Create. Your real-time aggregated view is now ready.

2. Management & Customization

Once created, you can tailor the dashboard to your daily workflow.

  • Set as Default: Click the Star icon next to a dashboard name. This will become your landing page every time you log in.
  • Refine Content: Click the Edit icon to add new repositories as your team expands or remove decommissioned ones.
  • Quick Search: Use the internal search bar to jump to a specific repository within the aggregated list.
  • Delete View: Use the Trash icon to remove a dashboard.

    NOTE

    Deleting a dashboard only removes the view. Your underlying repository data and scan history remain perfectly safe.

3. Access & Permissions

Control who can see your executive insights with granular sharing options.

Permission Levels

PrivateOnly the creator can view or edit.
Shared (Read-Only)Authorized users/teams can view metrics but cannot change the dashboard setup.
Shared (Full Access)Authorized users can add/remove repositories or delete the dashboard.

How to Share

  1. Open your dashboard and click the Permissions/Share icon.
  2. Search for specific Users.
  3. Select the access level (View or Edit) from the dropdown.
  4. Click Save Changes.

  • Aggregated Metrics: See the combined Rating, Issue Count, and Duplication % for your entire organization.
  • Trend Analysis: View a combined timeline showing how quality has shifted across all linked projects over the last 90 days.
  • Hotspot Identification: The dashboard automatically surface the top 5 most "at-risk" repositories in your group for proactive risk management.
